Meüs van der Poel is the owner of Hofstaten Public Affairs Agency, a recognized lobby office in The Hague. Clients are mainly Dutch public organizations and NGOs in the fields of education and labor relations, local government, sports, media, and culture. A result-oriented consultant focused on people and representing interests processes. He has long experience as a policy adviser in the Dutch Parliament, ministries, and several campaigns for the CDA political party.
With a view to the German EU Council Presidency (2nd half of 2020) and the Bundestag elections on 26 September 2021, he moved partly to Berlin. From there, he closely follows German political developments.

There is a general societal interest in welcoming genuine change-makers, meaning a need for the “new kids on the block” that embrace the intersection of green ideals and democratic principles.
