Kim studies political science at the University of Amsterdam and is currently doing a three-month internship in the German Bundestag. How can governments strike a balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability in their policy decisions? During times of globalization, how can governments protect domestic industries while fostering international cooperation and trade? How should governments respond to the social and economic impacts of major global crises such as pandemics or financial recessions? These are the questions that drive Kim’s interests and ambitions in politics.
Recognizing the demographic shift in European society, Kim believes that young people require proper representation. He believes in the need for a democracy that addresses the concerns of young generations, instead of perpetuating a system that neglects the unique challenges future generations face, especially considering the demographic change in Europe. In his view, addressing the needs and aspirations of the youth is not just a priority but a fundamental pillar for a robust and inclusive democracy.
